GRINDING SWARF
Our briquette-making equipment can be used to make briquettes from a wide variety of swarf from grinding processes directly on the site it is generated usually without additives or preliminary treatment, depending on coolant/ oil constituents.

Assessment
Due to very low quantity of liquid remaining in the briquette, disposal costs are a worst much lower, but in some cases can have a re-sale value. With small volumes of additive swarf it is economically beneficial to dispose of, at the very least. In some cases it can even be sold.
Extraction of cooling and cutting fluid
Cooling and lubricant fluid is pressed out during the briquette-making process and returned di- rectly into the cooling and cutting fluid circuit (e.g. central filtration equipment). Cooling and lubri- cant fluid which was previously disposed of to- gether with grinding swarf used to have to be continuously added to the production process. Fluid lost in this way is frequently underestima- ted, the weight ratio can be up to 60%.
Profit
With oil approximately 1 – 5 €/l, and emulsion (concentrates) approximately 3 -10 €/l, combined with lower disposal costs due to reduction of weight of swarf to be disposed of (separation of cooling/lubricant fluid and grinding swarf) pay- back can be very quick.
Optimal storage
Hygienic and safe storage: elimination of health risks caused by storage of damp grinding swarf (bacteria, strong odour...) Minimalisation of fire risk (no leaking fluids!) Reduced demands in terms of space.
